How do I join?
Bellevue Baptist Church is a body of believers united by our desire to follow Jesus Christ and committed to fulfilling the purposes set forth in our Mission Statement. If you desire to join with us and will be supportive of the beliefs, fellowship, and mission of our church, we warmly invite you to become a member. Here are the three steps to becoming a member:
- Present yourself for membership during any Worship Service when the invitation is given at the end of the message. Our Pastor will invite those who desire to become members of Bellevue to come to the front of the Worship Center. A minister will greet you and introduce you to a friend, who will accompany you to a quieter place where you will be guided in your decision.
Express your desire for membership through one of the following means:
Profession of Faith: If you have never received Jesus as Savior and Lord and/or never publicly confessed Him, you will be given an opportunity to do so. After your decision has been confirmed, an appointment will be made for your baptism at Bellevue.
Transfer of membership from another Southern Baptist Church: If you are currently a member of another Southern Baptist Church, we will receive you as a member upon promise of a letter from that church. Bellevue will contact that church to notify them of your decision and request your letter.
Statement of faith: If you know in your heart that you have previously experienced salvation by receiving Jesus as Savior and Lord, we will be happy to receive you. It will be necessary for you to be baptized at Bellevue if you have never been baptized by immersion after your salvation experience or if you were baptized in a church which holds a different view of salvation, baptism, or eternal security than Bellevue.
- Attend the Step Class for new members.
This special orientation class for all new members will give you essential information to help you become a fulfilled, functioning member of our church. Charting out a plan for your first year at Bellevue, this class will show you how to begin building relationships in our church and will help you understand all the benefits and responsibilities of membership. - After you’ve completed these steps, we will joyfully receive you as a member of Bellevue Baptist Church and you will begin to fully enjoy the benefits and blessings of being a part of our family of friends.

What do you believe?
Bellevue Baptist Church is a family of believers who holds dear the following beliefs:
God—We believe that there is one God who exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Jesus—We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, was born of a virgin, was wholly God and wholly man, lived a sinless life, died in our place as a sacrifice for the sins of mankind, was buried, arose bodily from the grave, and ascended into Heaven.
Christ’s Return—We believe that Jesus Christ will literally return to earth.
Holy Spirit—We believe that God the Holy Spirit is active in convincing unbelievers of their need for salvation, and is the Comforter and Guide Who lives in every believer.
Bible—We believe that the Bible is the Word of God without any error, the sole authority for life and faith.
Man—We believe that man is a special creation of God, made in His image, but that through the sin of the first man, Adam, mankind fell so that all men are sinners and need salvation.
Salvation—We believe that salvation is a gift received through repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Assurance—We believe that every person who is truly saved is eternally secure in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Eternity—We believe that those persons who die in their sins without Christ spend eternity in Hell and those persons who die with their sins forgiven through Christ spend eternity in Heaven.
Baptism—We believe that water baptism is an act of obedience to the command of Christ and is by immersion after salvation.
Church—We believe that the church is a local body of baptized believers with the Lord Jesus Christ as the Head.
Prayer—We believe that each believer has direct access to God through the Lord Jesus Christ.
Government—We believe in the separation of church and state, but not in separation of God and government. Christians are salt and light in society.
What kind of music do you use in your services?
The Bellevue Student Ministry incorporates live praise and worship music from student led bands and the Ryan Wingo Band in our Sunday night services. You will also hear from the best of contemporary Christian music artists played as background music. Additionally, we utilize our talented students to sing and play instruments as special music in the services.
